Inspiring and Informing the Next Generation of Leaders
We are fortunate to live in a very prosperous and supportive community. Westwood is home to leaders in many industries, people who have succeeded in business and life and are eager to share stories and guidance with the next generation.
Westwood Living is proud to announce a new initiative that provides any business professional the opportunity to invest in the next generation by sharing your expertise and experiences.
The first Westwood Living “Lessons From Leaders” Series will be hosted this fall at Westwood High School. Our goal is to provide unprecedented, comprehensive access to useful tutelage, guidance and information never made available in this format to high school students in our community.
The staff at Westwood Living will organize and execute the entire initiative, from event planning to promotion to web development. This is your call to action, your time to invest in the next generation by sharing your inspiration and information.
Lessons From Leaders In-Person Sessions
The Lessons From Leaders Series will be hosted at Westwood High Schol over the course of three weeks in October, 2023 (different night of the week each week).
Up to 40 participating leaders in business will be available at individual tables each night to offer advice and answer questions for students.
At each session, a keynote speaker will deliver a 7-10 minute educational and motivational address focused on a topic pertinent to high school students.
Lessons From Leaders Digital Directory
Every participating leader will be showcased in the Lessons From Leaders Online Directory, with information useful to high school students interested in learning more about their profession

- Classes relevant to profession
- Internships relevant to profession
- Suggested reading material
- Educational Video providing an overview of the industry and words of guidance
- Professional opportunities available – Internships, Shadowing Opportunities, Jobs
Lessons From Leaders Print Directory
Every participating leader will be showcased in the Lessons From Leaders Print Directory, distributed to students who attend the in-person Lessons From Leaders sessions, with contact information included for students interested in reaching out for more information.

- Invitation to appear on the Westwood Living Podcast Network to talk about your profession, promote your business and offer advice to students

Giving Back - Directly
10% of every sponsorship will support the Westwood Community Scholarship Fund, At the end of each school year, money donated from the Lessons From Leaders Series will benefit and advance the further education of Westwood students. We're making a direct and powerful impact.

Students will register to participate in the Lessons From Leaders Series free of charge. Any registered student is invited to:

Every registered student will be eligible to win any number of significant raffle prizes, including a Bluetooth speaker, Apple AirPods Max Headphones, and gift cards from local businesses.
